Login
Unable to create an account?
The Credentia Platform is used for all state exam programs facilitated by Credentia, and contains a specific sign-up page for the state you wish to enroll in.
To sign up with the Credentia Platform, navigate to the state-specific exam page by clicking Test Takers from the top menu, select your state, click Login, and then click the option to Sign up. You will get the state-specific sign-up page to create a Credentia Platform account based on your desired selection.

How to migrate an account?
The Credentia Platform account you register with is specific to the state you have enrolled or registered in. If you are looking to relocate to a different state, you must apply for reciprocity. To learn more about the reciprocity process, see here.
Note: The email ID used to sign up for the Credentia Platform account cannot be migrated or re-used to sign up in other states. You must sign up using a different email ID.
Login Issue
How do I reset my password?
If you have forgotten your password to login to your Credentia Platform account, you can reset it by using the "Forgot Password" option provided on the application's login page.

Register / Schedule Exam
How can I register for my exam?
To register for an exam, login with your credentials to the Credentia Platform, and look at the Dashboard. Go to the application section to check your submitted new application status. See here. If your application is approved, you will be prompted to Register for an Exam. If you see “Start New Application”, then follow the prompts to fill in the application form with your training details and submit the application. Once your application is approved, follow the prompts on your Dashboard to Register for the exam, by selecting the exam type, date and time of exam.
How can I schedule my exam?
You can schedule your exam by logging into the Credentia Platform using your registered account credentials. From your dashboard, you can click Exam Schedule, then click on Register for Exam to select the exam day and time that you would like to take the test.

When can I schedule my exam?
Once you have applied for and received the “Testing Application” approval in your registered Credentia Platform account, you can schedule the exam in the Credentia Platform.

Can I change my exam date after scheduling?
You may cancel or reschedule an exam online using your Credentia Platform account. For a step-by-step guide on canceling or rescheduling an exam, see here.
Note:
- Online Written (or Oral) exams must be canceled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before the scheduled exam time.
- Exams scheduled at a test center must be canceled or rescheduled at least ten (10) business days before the scheduled exam date.
- If you do not cancel or reschedule your exam within the required timeframes or do not show up for your scheduled exam, you will be responsible for paying the exam fee again to reschedule. Your fee will not be refunded and cannot be transferred to a new exam date, and you may not give your exam date to another person.
Application
Who will approve my application?
Once you have submitted your application online using the Credentia Platform, the application is processed by Credentia and may also be sent to your state-specific regulatory board. After the application is reviewed, Credentia sends the status notification, and the application review details with further steps to schedule your exam via email to your registered email address. You can also check your Credentia Platform account to know the status details and for further process.

When can I get my application approved?
The testing application goes through a review process with the training institute, state regulatory board, or Credentia. Updates on the progress of your testing application will be sent to your registered email address, and you can also track it by logging into your Credentia account.
Need help checking your application status?
After the application is reviewed, you will receive a notification email with the application status and details of the next steps to schedule your exam via email to your registered email address. You can also check your Credentia Platform account to know the status details and proceed with the next step.
Note: If any additional information or corrections are needed to process your request, you will receive an email specifying the required details.
Exam Attempts
How many attempts do I have for my exam?
The number of attempts for the exam depends on the program you have enrolled in, the opted eligibility route, and your registered state. Go to the credentia.com website, navigate to the state-specific page by clicking the Find Exam button, and scroll down to the state information section to review the state’s handbook.
Accommodations
When can I apply for accommodation?
Accommodations must be requested before registering and scheduling your exam and must be submitted with the testing application online through the Credentia Platform. The application form has a section dedicated to accommodations.
If you require an accommodation, select the option yes under the accommodation section. There will be a drop-down list to select the accommodation required for your exam. If additional information is required to process and approve the accommodation, you will receive an email notification from Credentia or from your state.

Can I take the exam in any test center even if I have applied for accommodation?
If you have applied for accommodation based on the accommodation type, you may have to choose from the list of test centers that meet your accommodation requirements.
After the accommodation's approval, you can schedule your exam on the Credentia Platform.
Who will approve my accommodation?
The accommodation requests should be submitted along with the new application form on the Credentia Platform. The application, which includes the accommodation request, will be reviewed by Credentia and the state you are applying to. If additional information or changes are required for your submitted application, you will receive a change request notification to your registered email address and in your Credentia account. It is your responsibility to complete the online application on the Credentia Platform.

Can I schedule my exam if I submit an accommodation request?
Yes, you may schedule your exam through your registered Credentia Platform account.
Ensure you have submitted your accommodation requests with the testing application and received approval for it. Click here to learn more about accommodation requests.

Reschedule
Can I reschedule my exam?
To reschedule exams online or at a test center, you must log in to the Credentia Platform.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your online exam, you can do so at least 48 hours (2 days) before your scheduled exam time.
If you are unable to attend your exam at a test center, you must reschedule or cancel at least ten (10) business days before the exam date (Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays are not considered business days).
Note:
- The availability of exam slots to schedule/reschedule the exam is at least ten (10) calendar days from the current date.
- If you do not reschedule or cancel within the required timeframes and do not show up for your scheduled exam, you will be responsible for the exam fee. Your fee will not be refunded and cannot be transferred to a new exam date or transferred to another person.
- If you reschedule or cancel within the timeframe, there is no penalty, and your fee may be transferred to your new exam date.
- If your employer sponsored your test fee, you should inform them about missing the test or rescheduling. Let them know how you have handled rescheduling and when you plan to retake the test.
- If you do not report to the testing location or to the online exam on the day and time of your scheduled test, you will be considered a “no-show” and will not get a refund.
If you are a “no show” for two exams, your application to test will be removed, and you will need to re-apply.
Is there a fee for rescheduling the exam?
If you reschedule the exam within the specified time, you can do so with no additional payment, and your exam attempts will not be counted.
- If you need to reschedule your online exam, you must do so at least 48 hours (2 days) before your scheduled test time.
- If you need to reschedule your exam at a test center, you must reschedule at least ten (10) business days before the exam date (Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays are not considered business days).
How many times can I reschedule my exam?

What is the required timeframe for rescheduling my exam?
If you need to reschedule your online exam, you must do so at least 48 hours (2 days) before your scheduled test time. Retest
When can I retake the exam?
The retest process at Credentia ensures that you have fair opportunities to demonstrate your skills and knowledge if you do not pass the initial assessment. To check the number of allowed retest attempts and the elapsed time based on your state and eligibility route enrolled, see your state’s specific handbook.
Is there a waiting period ?
There is no waiting period to take a retest. You will be able to schedule your exam in the following scenarios:
- If you have received a field result and want to retake the exam, you can do so by scheduling the same exam in the Credentia Platform. To know more about the number of allowed attempts for an exam, refer to your state-specific handbook.
- If you have applied for a grievance for the exam, you need to wait for your grievance request to be reviewed. You will receive the grievance review details to your registered email address. To learn more about grievance requests, see here.
No Show
With valid reason, can a “no show” be reconsidered?
If you have a valid reason for being absent (no-show), you may submit an excused absence request to reschedule the exam without losing your attempt count. To know more, see here.
Results
When can I get my results?
Online exam score reports are generally available within a few hours on your Credentia Platform. For written paper-pencil exams and skills exams at a test center, your results will be available within 24 hours. For more information, see here.
Refund
When can I get my refund?
Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable once submitted; no refund will be issued.

Payment Process
What are the different payment options available?
Payments can be made using your credit/debit card, PayPal, or a with a voucher.
How do I get a voucher?
The vouchers are purchased and provided by your respective training institute, employer, or sponsor. The assigned voucher is specific to the exam you are enrolled in, and you may also purchase a combination voucher for both your written (or oral) and skills exam.
Renewal
How do I apply for a renewal?
The renewal of your registration can be requested at the time of expiration. The options for renewal and the renewal period may vary by state. To find out more about the renewal process, click here.
Reciprocity
What is the process for reciprocity?
Only some states require you to pay a reciprocity fee, and the amount may vary depending on the state. To learn more about “How to Apply for Reciprocity,” click here.
Note:
- Use the Credentia Platform only to apply for reciprocity in Pennsylvania, Mississippi, the District of Columbia, or South Carolina. For other states, you must contact the pertaining state board (state’s Nurse Aide Registry), as the Credentia Platform does not process reciprocity for other states.
- Go to the credentia.com website, click on the Find My Exam button to navigate to the state-specific page, select your state from the list, and then scroll down to the state information section to find the state's contact and other information. For more information, see here.
Demographic Change
Can I update my demographic details?
It is important to keep your profile details correct and up to date in the Credentia Platform to ensure trouble-free onboarding of your exams and accurate certificate generation.
Note: Verify your profile details before scheduling your exam or while applying to renew your certificate.
In the Manage Profile section, you can correct or update your profile details, including your current address, phone number, and gender. If you need to update your demographic details like name, date of birth, or Social Security Number (SSN), you must submit a correction form. For more information, click here.
